Vast Bridges Founder Featured in Recent Publications

Vast Bridges founder Kevin Conner has seen a lot in the short 5+ year history of his record breaking company. In 2015, he was named one of the 40 Under 40 honorees by the Jacksonville Business Journal. In 2014, the firm was recognized as the #1 fastest growing company in Northeast Florida. And there have been countless other accomplishments and life lessons that have happened along the way. When asked to share some of the business knowledge he’s acquired while growing this online marketing startup, Kevin readily agrees every time. He has recently been featured in multiple online publications.

On Promoting From Within

A article in April entitled “How To Tell If a Team Member Is Ready for a Management Position” quoted Conner as saying that team members who are committed to personal and professional development are the ones ripe for advancement. Pinpointing the right team member is all about identifying those who are looking for the why when problem solving. Those individuals who are growing, reading, and learning are developing those C-level problem solving skills.

On Knowing Your Team Members

A recent article called “8 Telltale Signs Your Employees are About to Burn Out” quoted Conner as saying that frustration and irritability are signs an employee is over-stressed and heading for burnout. The key is knowing your team members well, so you can detect a change in attitude. It’s the little things like lack of enthusiasm and snappy comebacks at inappropriate times that may signal that change in attitude and lead to a mentality that is not solution-oriented. Identifying that stress is the first step to helping your employee.

On a side note, it’s not Kevin’s first time being featured on the site. He was one of 9 entrepreneurs who shared tips for dealing with controversial issues on social media. His tip was to use the “Staff Meeting Test.” If you wouldn’t share it during a staff meeting, it’s best kept to yourself. Sound advice – especially during an election year – from an online marketing strategist.

The team at Vast Bridges is proud to have a leader who is sets the bar high and is constantly striving to better himself, his business and his team, whether it is by seeking to avoid burnout or promoting from within. A great boss is one of the top reasons we love working at Vast Bridges.
